Tours of the Peralta House Museum of History & Community
Date & Time: Wednesday – Saturday 2:30-5:30pm
Description: Peralta Hacienda Historical Park is the birthplace of Oakland! Featuring indoor and outdoor exhibits, a creek nature area, community gardens, and a native plant garden, the 6-acre historic site interprets the history of the first non-Native settlers in Oakland and tells the stories of the community today. On view now: special exhibit “Rhythm of the Refugee: A Cambodian Journey of Healing.”

Pardee Historic Home Museum: Special Vintage Hat Show and Tours

Pacific Heights Walking Tour
Date & Time: Sundays @ 12:30pm
Description: Heritage offers a docent-led walking tour of Pacific Heights every Sunday at 12:30 p.m. On this illuminating two-hour tour of eastern Pacific Heights, walkers will see examples of San Francisco’s diverse architecture and hear stories of earthquakes, fortunes, and fame. The tour covers approximately fifteen to twenty blocks and takes about two hours. The Pacific Heights tour starts at the Haas-Lilienthal House (2007 Franklin Street) and ends around Jackson and Gough streets. Reservations are not required; tickets are available for purchase at the Haas-Lilienthal House before each tour.

Haas-Lilienthal House Tour
Date & Time: The Haas-Lilienthal House is open to the public three days a week–Wednesdays and Saturdays (noon – 3 p.m.), and Sundays (11 a.m. – 4 p.m.). Tours leave every 20 to 30 minutes and last about 1 hour.
Description: The exuberant Haas-Lilienthal House is a Queen Anne-style Victorian, and was completed in 1886. It is the only intact private home of the period that is open regularly as a museum, complete with authentic furniture and artifacts. The House has elaborate wooden gables, a circular corner tower and luxuriant ornamentation. Volunteer docents lead interior tours through the House and explain the exterior Victorian architecture. A display of photographs in the downstairs supper-room describes the history of the home and the family that lived here until 1972.

"The Knoll: Where Claremont and Elmwood Meet" Berkeley Architectural Heritage Spring House Tour
Date & Time: Sunday, May 6, 2012, from 1:00 to 5:00 pm
Description: BAHA's 2012 house tour will explore a neighborhood of hillside homes, a half block from the College Avenue bus line. Tour focuses on the Garber Street Hill, featuring ten houses built in a variety of styles between 1904 and 1927 and designed by Henry Gutterson, Edward Seely, Plowman & Thomas, Williams & Wastell, Joseph Coward, F.E. Allen, and Louis Engler.
