 hitectural masterpieces to Native American rock art\, speakeasies to Spani
 sh missions.In this program\, Etan will share some of his favorite histori
 c spots in LA\, with a special emphasis on places intertwined with the bro
 ader history of California. He’ll also discuss the challenges of approac
 hing history through the lens of physical places—and why landmarks are s
 uch powerful tools for understanding the past and how communities continue
