Make your stay in Palm Springs the ultimate getaway in the National Register-listed Miles C. Bates House. The winning bidder will receive three (3) weekday nights (Mon-Thurs – see exclusions below*). The average nightly rate is between $450-$550, taxes and fees not included.

Known as the Miles C. Bates “Wave” House for its curving roof that mimics the nearby San Jacinto mountains, the mid-century Walter S. White-designed home was opened to the public in February 2020 for the first time since its restoration by Stayner Architects.

You will have exclusive use of this one-bedroom stand-alone house with an outdoor chilled/heated cedar soaking tub, king-size bed, and two bathrooms with rain showers. Built in 1955 and meticulously restored by Stayner Architects.

Amenities include vintage modernist furniture, luxury Tibor fabrics and Frette Italian linens, personal whiskey and amaro bar, full kitchen. Sonos and vintage Bose sound system. Private gardens and views of the Santa Rosa Mountains. Native desert landscaping by the Cactus Store of Echo Park and NYC.

* Exclusions: The stay must be completed within six (6) months of the auction, with the following blackout dates: December 21-23, Jan 18, February 15, April 5, May 31.
