Chris Bartlett built a career as a User Experience Director in video games, working on Gears of War, Tomb Raider and Call of Duty. At nights, he would build movie accurate costumes and perform these characters locally. Lucasfilm saw his work and brought him in to audition in one of his own costumes. His professional acting career began in 2006 when he was cast as iconic character, See-Threepio in the Star Wars universe for commercials and special television appearances including the annual Academy Awards. From there, Bartlett was trained in character performance for droids, creatures and stunts.

After several years acting in commercial work, his television debut was in The Mandalorian (2019) as Q9-0 (Zero). Q90 was a droid who worked as a mercenary during the time of the New Republic.

Chris has since been a featured character in several more roles in the Star Wars television universe where he performed all of his own stunts. Other work includes voice over and motion capture. He is also a car collector and motorcyle rider. You may have seen Chris roaming about Southern California in his beloved Christine, a restored 1958 red Plymouth Fury (photograph by Bridget McCarty).

Chris was born in San Luis Obispo, California. His family moved to Phoenix, Arizona where he began performing on stage at age 12 as a musician, later attending Cactus High School until the age of 15. His family then moved to Sacramento, California where he attended Roseville High School. As a musician, Bartlett played drums in every band he could join – marching, orchestra, rockabilly, jazz, and heavy metal. As an artist, he studied design at California State University, Sacramento.

A CPF staff member will organize and moderate the Zoom converation with  Chris.
