Work hands-on with some of the classic and current technology used for documentation and evaluation of historic buildings, structures, and landscapes. Learn from industry professionals the ways in which drones and UAVs, GigaPan high-resolution panoramic photography, Matterport 3D camera scans, and nondestructive tools (i.e. radar and ultrasonic technology) provide a range of perspectives.
Each technology establishes a different perspective - macro, micro, or somewhere in between. Whether looking from 100 feet above, or looking "inside" of walls and locating building obstructions, these tools have their purpose and their limitations. The workshop will include an overview, including demonstrations and hands-on experience and will also include a behind-the-scenes "first look" during the rehabilitation of the Pomona YMCA building.
This Workshop is Sponsored in Part By...
