CHBC: Part 1 Fire and Life Safety Requirements
The California Historical Building Code (CHBC) is an important tool for the preservation of historic buildings, structures and sites in California. Use of the CHBC protects the historic fabric and features of a building by providing alternative regulations to meet the mandates for fire and life safety, seismic, universal access and site access requirements.
This 4-part webinar series on the California Historical Building Code will focus on the major aspects of the CHBC will illustrate and explain the use of the code through the use of case studies presented by leading design professionals. Attendees will have the opportunity to participate in a question and answer session after each module and will receive a complimentary booklet on the use and application of the California Historical Building Code.
