My Path to Preservation: Insights from a Structural Engineer

Join the California Preservation Foundation for our My Path to Preservation series, a webinar program with the goal of sharing insights with students, interns, graduates, emerging professionals, and anyone interested in a career in preservation, to learn about the variety of pathways and opportunities available.
The one-hour, free lunchtime program will include a 10-15 minute presentation by a guest speaker in one of a number of preservation-related professions, followed by Q&A with questions from CPF's Education Committee Co-Chairs and our audience.

About Our Guest Speaker
Russell Kehl, SE
Principal and President
Structural Focus
A licensed California Structural Engineer with over 26 years of experience, Russell joined Structural Focus in 2001. As President of the firm, he leads a strong team providing engineering services throughout southern California: including historic preservation and adaptive re-use; ground-up design; seismic evaluation, assessment, and retrofit; structural analysis; computer modeling; additions; and renovations and tenant improvements.
Clients includes studio and media production facilities, cultural and educational facilities, civic/public spaces, and commercial office structures. Some of Russell’s representative projects include the Huntington Library Rose Garden Tea Room, Cheech Marin Center for Chicano Art, Wilshire Boulevard Temple, LA Union Station, Manzanar, and John Anson Ford Amphitheatre.
