A 75-minute exploration of historic rehabilitation tax credits, including the limitations, legal requirements, and a financial breakdown of the credits. This session will also look at how to meet the IRS guidelines, the substantial rehabilitation test, which expenditures qualify, and how to use the credits. The session will close by looking at how tax credits fit into the broader financial picture of the project and a brief overview of the potential California state rehabilitation tax credit.
