Founded in 1978, the California Preservation Foundation (CPF) is California’s statewide nonprofit organization dedicated to the protection of historic places and cultural heritage. Designer, 4+ Years
Position Description
We are looking for a talented and well-rounded Junior Designer to join our dynamic and collaborative Los Angeles office.
What you will do:
- Support project teams through all phases of design, documentation, and construction administration
- Prepare design concepts, presentations, and project documentation
- Coordinate work with interdisciplinary project teams and consultants
- Contribute to the preparation of design and construction documents
- Balance multiple assignments while maintaining quality and responsiveness
- Communicate effectively with clients and team members
Your qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree from an accredited school of Architecture
- 4+ years’ professional experience preferred
- Interest in historic preservation, adaptive reuse, or existing buildings
- Strong design, graphic, written, and verbal communication skills
- Ability to develop design concepts and prepare project documentation
- Ability to manage multiple assignments and work collaboratively
- Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office
- Creative problem solver with a collaborative and positive approach

Salary range: $70–$85K , commensurate with experience.
