We’re celebrating 15 award winning projects, as well as the Trustee’s Awards for Excellence and the President’s Awards at the historic Millennium Biltmore Hotel, Downtown Los Angeles, followed by a special social event with food and drinks in the stunning ballroom of the Biltmore Hotel. Tickets to the Awards Ceremony and the post-awards reception are $225 for members and $250 and available here (discounted to $175 if you’re attending our Annual Conference – combo packages available on our conference page)

West LA VA Campus Building 207
West LA VA Campus Building 207 is one of fifteen winners honored with the 2024 Preservation Design Award. This project was a recipient in the Rehabilitation category. Award recipients are selected by a jury of top professionals in the fields of architecture, engineering, planning, and history, as well as renowned architecture critics and journalists. About West LA VA Campus Building 207
The West LA VA Campus, including Building 207, is at the forefront of a significant revitalization effort to support at-risk Veterans. As part of Phase 0, the first stage in the expansive West LA VA North Campus Community Plan, Building 207’s renovation marks the onset of this major project, setting a precedent for future development. Originally a Mission Revival-style structure from 1940, Building 207 has been transformed to provide 59 residential units. This phase of restoration balances historical preservation with modern amenities, addressing key challenges like adhering to historic standards while retrofitting for current needs. Featuring communal spaces and healthcare access, Building 207 not only tackles Veteran homelessness in Los Angeles but also symbolizes a commitment to honoring military legacy and enhancing social responsibility. Its successful renovation paves the way for subsequent phases, aiming to create a supportive, healing environment by restoring historical structures and adding new facilities.
