About CPF and the Awards
The California Preservation Awards are a statewide hallmark, showcasing the best in historic preservation. The awards ceremony includes the presentation of the Preservation Design Awards and the President’s Awards, bringing together hundreds of people each year to share and celebrate excellence in preservation.
The California Preservation Foundation (CPF), a 501c3 nonprofit, was incorporated in 1978. We now support a national network of more than 36,000 members and supporters. Click here to learn how you can become a member.
Award Winners Information
Congratulations on submitting a successful nomination! You should take great pride in knowing that your work and dedication to historic preservation are being recognized. Your award will be presented at the California Preservation Awards on Friday, October 18, 2019 at a gala dinner and ceremony at the InterContinental Mark Hopkins in San Francisco. Tickets and sponsorship options are available at californiapreservation.org/awards.

July 24 – Review and approve project webpage information
August 2 – Invitation Mailing List and Program Book Text received
September 20 – Award Certificate Order Form (for pickup at Awards ceremony)
October 4 – Display Board received
October 18 – California Preservation Awards Ceremony

Invitation Mailing List
Either use the form below, or click here to download a mailing list template that you can use to request invitations be sent to your friends, colleagues and others. There is no fee to send invitations. Mailing lists must be received by August 2nd.
Award Certificates
Click here to download an award certificate order form. Certificates will not be issued automatically. Information will appear on the certificate as you designate on this form. Certificates ordered by September 20th will be presented at the awards ceremony (for those not in attendance, certificates will be mailed after the event).
Projects applicants receive two complimentary award certificates. Additional certificates are available for $40 before September 20th or $65 after September 20th.
Display Boards
Each award winning project should have a board on display at the awards ceremony. Click here for complete guidelines and sample boards from past years.
The board for your winning project will be displayed during the reception and presentation of awards on Friday, October 18, 2019 at the InterContinental Mark Hopkins in San Francisco. Boards will be kept by CPF for promotional purposes.

As an alternative, you can print the PDA boards in San Francisco and they will be delivered to our office. The average cost for printing and mounting is $105/board ($12.50/sq. ft. including mounting). There is a satin option that costs $120/board ($14/sq. ft. including mounting). Sponsorship Opportunities
Sponsorship of the California Preservation Awards highlights your commitment to protecting and preserving our shared heritage. All proceeds from the event support the California Preservation Foundation’s statewide education and advocacy programs. Sponsors receive discounted registration to all CPF events for one year.
